Prediction of stack plume behaviour and the distribution of temperatures, velocities, gases, or particulates using fluid dynamics analyses. Stacey Agnew use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to assess stack plumes and dispersion given emissions parameters and meteorological inputs. We have assessed either pollutant dispersion or aircraft perturbation, or both, for plumes from:
- Road tunnel ventilation stacks
- Tunnel portals (no stack at all)
- Power station stacks
- Rail tunnel and station vent outlets
