Working in Windy Wellington

In the April edition of Engineering Insight, an IPENZ publication, Brisbane-based Stacey Agnew Pty Ltd has been referenced for its work on two local road tunnel refurbishments in Wellington, New Zealand; Terrace Tunnel and Mount Victoria Tunnel.  For over two years, Stacey Agnew has been working within the Wellington Tunnels Alliance (WTA) as lead engineers for tunnel ventilation, and underground fire life safety.  The only other major road tunnel refurbishment occurring in Australasia at present is the M2 road tunnel upgrade in Sydney.  Stacey Agnew has a key fire life safety and ventilation role on that project also. The article also references input from Jean-Marc Berthier, who has previously managed the Mont Blanc Tunnel in France/Italy, and John Day of Pöyry Infra (Switzerland) who is the project peer reviewer for fire life safety.

Stacey Agnew is currently involved with a number of other underground projects in New Zealand including the potential Homer Tunnel upgrade, Auckland CBD Rail Loop Study, Victoria Park Tunnel (as peer reviewer), AMETI tunnel (as peer reviewer), and Britomart Station fire life safety review.
