Stacey Agnew offer both bench scale and large scale, non-toxic ‘smoke’ testing with optional heat release up to 2.5 MW. When testing large spaces, it is inevitable that people will need to be in the space while it is being tested. The ‘smoke’ is actually a fine condensate of a food-grade oil, avoiding the many undesirable chemicals generated when smoke comes from combustion processes. With smoke generation capacities able to obscure most of a ventilated road tunnel cross section or large warehouse, on-site air and smoke flow visualisation is possible for most industrial applications. At the small scale, we generate wisps of transient oil mist ‘smoke’ to test the performance of industrial hygiene dust and fume capture facilities.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is an advanced engineering tool used for understanding and quantifying the three-dimensional behaviour of gases and liquids in a specified environment. With more than 500 CPU cores available in-house, CFD is a readily accessible tool Stacey Agnew can use to assist engineering assessment of complex problems. Such complex issues include: stack dispersion modelling, livestock transport thermal modelling, and underground metro system dynamics.

IDA Tunnel
Stacey Agnew is an industry partner of EQUA Simulation AB of Sweden, and use their specialist tunnel ventilation software, IDA Tunnel. We use IDA Tunnel for our own consulting work and provide practitioner level support to other IDA Tunnel users.
eVENT Space
Newly renovated eVENT space offers a convenient location to host technical discussions, seminars and demonstrations. With two large displays, a professional audio / visual system and plenty of room, the eVENT space can flexibly adapt to suit the intended use.
